About Us
American Prosthetics and Orthotics is a custom orthotic and prosthetic company with offices located in Braintree, Lowell, and Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Salem, New Hampshire. We are a locally owned company that has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of services for our patients for over 25 years. It is this approach, along with a family-type atmosphere, that has made us the leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic devices in New England.
Our certified clinicians are highly trained allied health professionals who use cutting-edge technology to fit the best performing orthotic and prosthetic devices available. Our staff has extensive experience with both adults and pediatrics and has developed a reputation for success with even the most difficult to fit patients. 
We provide services at our facilities in Braintree, Lowell, and Plymouth, Massachusetts, and our location at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem, New Hampshire. In addition, we also provide services in the patient’s home, school, nursing facility, clinic site or wherever it is appropriate and most convenient for the patient and family. This unique service delivery model has set us apart from most other orthotic and prosthetic providers and is a tremendous convenience for our patients and therapists.
Our services include free initial evaluations. We always welcome the opportunity to meet to discuss patients’ current needs and to answer any questions patients and families may have. Our goal is to optimize the patient’s mobility, function and comfort by working in conjunction with the prescribing physician and primary physical therapist or occupational therapist. We have contracts with most insurance companies and our office staff is always willing to work with the patient and family to ensure appropriate coverage. |
